Southern Barbeque is a tradition that has been a part of North Carolina and my family's heritage for a long time. To give you some insight of where it all started, my parents J.W. and Ester Oehler, started the business many years ago. I grew up in the business, taking it over around 1975, and now own and operate Oehler's Mallard Creek BBQ Inc. Now in their 90's my parents still work in the business along with my wife, bother, son and daughter and other family members. I assume my father was the oldest barbeque caterer in Mecklenburg County. The Barn is the nucleus of Oehler's Mallard Creek BBQ Inc. It took too much time to cater to the other locations, so I decided to get people to come to me. Dad catered parties on the farm but we did not have a nice large faciltiy, so we built the Barn. We cut the timber from our land, sawed the logs in our sawmill and built the Barn ourselves.   We now have a nice log wedding chapel. Call for pricing and availability.
